Your company keeps contracts, homeowner contact details, photos of people's homes and payment records in Plankbook, so read what we do today before you move your projects.

Review what we do today
- Keep each workspace's data separate
- We tag every record with your company's or household's ID and filter every query by it. Plankbook checks that you belong to the workspace before every read or write.
- Encrypt traffic in transit
- We serve Plankbook only over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted.
- Store data with managed providers
- We keep your database on managed Postgres and your photos and documents in managed file storage. Both providers encrypt data at rest and take automatic backups.
- Control access by role
- Give each person on your team the owner, manager or crew role. Only an owner can turn on AI features for the company.
- Keep homeowner links private
- Each project portal and invoice has its own private link that search engines do not index. Turn a project's portal off at any time.
- Protect sign-in
- Sign-in runs on WorkOS, so Plankbook never sees or stores your password. Turn on two-factor sign-in, or sign in with Microsoft or Google.
- Keep AI off until you choose it
- Plankbook sends no company data to an AI provider until an owner turns AI features on in settings.
- Export your data at any time
- A company owner can download every record as CSV files, with photos and documents, whenever you want and for 90 days after you cancel.
Know what we do not have yet
- SOC 2
- We do not hold a SOC 2 report. We will publish the date of our first audit here when we schedule it.
- Single sign-on with your own identity provider
- SAML single sign-on is not set up for companies yet. Ask us if your company needs it.
